Trailblazer Outpost campers will go more in depth into learning camping skills and environmental education. They will spend their week camping in tents across the road from main camp. They will be cooking their own delicious and plentiful meals over the fire or camping stove with the supervision of the counselors and will learn more advanced camping skills, like fire building. Campers will get to experience the exciting activity of Geocaching during Bible study. There will also be time spent taking field trips for environmental education and service projects. In addition to these exciting activities, the group will spend time each day in main camp participating in worships, games, and free time with the rest of the campers sleeping in-camp.
Trailblazer Outpost emphasizes understanding and appreciating the depth of God’s wonderful creation, as well as exploring the issues of need and luxury. The Outpost area has no water or electricity, so outhouses will be utilized and there will be no access to shower facilities, except during some limited time while in main camp. Lack of space in tents for gear storage means that campers will be limited to only bringing the essentials to Outpost with them.
Parents and other important people are invited to join your camper for Closing Campfire when you pick your child up. Come share what they learned at camp!
Canteen will be open when you drop your camper off and when you pick your camper up, as well as periodically while they are here.
