Bethany Walker Resignation
Dear Friends,

After many months of discerning and prayerful consideration I have decided to leave my position as Program Coordinator at Luther Point so that I can focus more on being a mom. Over the past three years I have poured myself into this ministry; physically, emotionally, and mentally. I have found much of my identity and purpose through my work here at Luther Point. It has been a true vocation. When God called me to Luther Point it was a strong call that I believed would last for many years. Then I became a mom. This new chapter in my life has required more energy, more presence and more selflessness than I could have ever imagined. As I have come into the fullness of being a mom I have discovered many things about myself, not the least of which is my desire to be as physically, emotionally and mentally available to Lillian as I have been to Luther Point. This realization has brought me to a crossroads. It is at this intersection that I have realized God is calling me now to step back from work responsibilities so that I can take better care of my family. One of the most difficult things about this decision is leaving the people with whom I have formed relationships. You may never fully know how blessed I have been to walk alongside each of you as we have shared experiences at Luther Point. What a privilege it has been to be a part of this Christ-centered community.

My last day of work will be December 19. Nate and I will then be moving to Stevens Point in early January. Nate will be working full time, I will be home with Lillian and then in September Nate plans to begin Graduate School at UWSP for Wildlife Management. I am excited to be able to support him in this opportunity and so thankful that he is willing to work hard for our family.

As Nate and I prepare for this transition we know all of you will also enter into a time of transition as you await the arrival of a new Program Coordinator. We know God is faithful, as evidenced both by the amazing ministry that is Luther Point and the miracle of Lillian. So, it is with trust and hope in God’s faithfulness that we humbly make this decision to leave, confident that God will continue to provide both for Luther Point and for our family. As I reflect on my time here, I realize Luther Point has been a significant stop on my faith journey. The people I have worked with and ministered to have been an immense blessing to me. Thank you for being a part of that.

God Bless,

Bethany Walker
