Open Doors with Us
We need your help opening doors;oopportunities of, growth, discovery and ministry. The Opening More Doors Together campaign has been established to secure funding to complete the projects of Phase I of the Luther Point plan. This Phase includes a new septic system, and a storm shelter for the safety of campers and retreaters.

Serving with Love
For the past 10 years Luther Point has consistently served more than 1800 summer participants in programs for children, youth and families. Since the completion of the high comfort Retreat Center and the renovation of the Family Cabins, fall, winter, and spring weekend and weekday retreats and conferences have served an average of 2200
participants.

Help Our Ministry Grow
The facilities that have served these participants, though they are the best
that Luther Point has ever been able to offer, have shortcomings and in some
cases have outlived their usefulness in their present form. Space is extremely limited for providing program activities and shelter during times of inclement weather during any season of the year.
The camp storm shelter is located in the chapel basement, has limited capacity and may not be fully
storm resistant in the event of a severe tornado. The current youth retreat facility accommodates only
20 youth at a time and is inadequate for the many congregations that have larger numbers of youth or
multiple groups of youth concurrently. The new Retreat Facility and the renovated Family Cabins serve adults and families wonderfully but do not serve the needs of larger youth groups.

Living accommodations in the Program Coordinator’s residence are inadequate for housing a family. The septic system and drain field that has served the camp for 24 years needs to be replaced. New regulations will require a “pre-treatment center” to treat the gray water before it is pumped to the drain-field. The Dahlberg Chapel is not functional as a year round ministry facility, as it is not heated or air conditioned and is in serious need of major upgrading.
